We are Assembly Four, a fast growing, purpose-driven technology company dedicated to fostering positive change within the sex work, human rights, LGBTQIA+, and intersecting communities.

We operate on the belief that impact is as important as profit, and work in collaboration with sex workers from around the globe to develop products and services that empower them to thrive, not just survive.

Everyone should have the autonomy to make decisions about their bodies and sexual lives without fear of violence or discrimination. This is a fundamental human right – and one that sex workers are still fighting for.

If you’re eager to join a remote-first team with diverse representation from sex worker, neurodivergent, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ communities, committed to advancing sex worker autonomy and liberation through advocacy and innovative products, read on.

We’re building a modern event-driven data platform that helps us truly understand our customers – from their first interaction through to ongoing support. We need a Data Analyst who can partner closely with our customer experience, and marketing teams to bring clarity to the customer journey.

  • Customer-first analyst – mapping user journeys, building funnels, and slicing and dicing data and market research to uncover the “why” behind customer behaviour.
  • Data translator & storyteller – exploring our warehouse and BI tools to spot trends, patterns, and opportunities, then communicating them in ways that empower non-technical teams.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work directly with teams closest to our customers, ensuring decisions are grounded in evidence, privacy, and empathy.

What you’ll do as Data Analyst within our Data team:

  • Partner closely with customer experience, marketing, and product teams to map user journeys, build funnels, and generate actionable insights.
  • Translate business questions into data problems, and design metrics that drive customer-first, data-driven decisions.
  • Explore and analyse data from our ClickHouse warehouse and BI tools (Metabase/Superset) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Data engineers to define event schemas and ensure accurate, privacy-first tracking across applications.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualisations that make complex information accessible to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Help validate data quality across a medallion architecture and support iterative improvements.

Your background:

  • Experience in a data analyst role, working with product, marketing, or customer-facing teams to deliver actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in SQL (ideally ClickHouse, but other analytical SQL dialects acceptable) and BI tools (Metabase, Superset, Looker, or similar).
  • Experience with event-based analytics, funnel analysis, and customer journey mapping.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience collaborating within cross-functional teams in an agile environment.

Our stack

  • Our stack is almost entirely self-hosted, and while you don’t need to know all of this day one, you’ll be getting exposure to:

    • Event processing: Redpanda Connect (Benthos)
    • Schema management: Karapace schema registry (JSON Schema)
    • Workflow orchestration: Temporal
    • Data lake: Apache Iceberg on S3
    • Modelling: dbt + SQL
    • Analytics: ClickHouse + Metabase/Superset
    • External connector/ingestion: Airbyte
    • Deployment: Kubernetes

Who you are:

  • You care deeply about customers and want your work to improve their experience.
  • You take pride in producing reliable, high-quality analysis that others can trust.
  • You’re proactive and detail-oriented, comfortable owning well-defined scopes of work.
  • You value privacy and security, and you’re diligent about handling sensitive data responsibly.
  • You’re empathetic and calm under pressure, communicating clearly and flagging blockers early.
  • You look for root causes, not just symptoms, and advocate for holistic improvements.
  • You are comfortable working with adult content and supporting marginalised communities, including sex workers, neurodivergent people, and disabled people.

In an ideal world, you would also have:

  • Previous experience engaging with and a willingness to learn about marginalised communities, particularly sex workers, neurodivergent individuals, and people with disability.
  • Experience in or a strong understanding of sex work.
  • Experience working in both startup environments and fully remote work settings.
