We are Assembly Four, a fast growing, purpose-driven technology company dedicated to fostering positive change within the sex work, human rights, LGBTQIA+, and intersecting communities.

We operate on the belief that impact is as important as profit, and work in collaboration with sex workers from around the globe to develop products and services that empower them to thrive, not just survive.

Everyone should have the autonomy to make decisions about their bodies and sexual lives without fear of violence or discrimination. This is a fundamental human right, and one that sex workers are still fighting for.

If you’re eager to join a remote-first team with diverse representation from sex worker, neurodivergent, disabled, and LGBTQIA+ communities, committed to advancing sex worker autonomy and liberation through advocacy and innovative products, read on.

The role

As Assembly Four’s Talent Acquisition Manager, you own our hiring strategy and execution. You’ll build fair, accessible and equitable recruitment systems that help us to attract and fairly assess candidates ensuring that every hire is aligned with A4’s mission, values and commitment to supporting sex workers worldwide. At A4, how we hire is as important as who we hire and your work will shape a team that meaningfully strengthens our ability to achieve our mission and positively evolve our culture as we scale.

In this role you will report into the Head of People & Culture and establish A4’s talent acquisition function from the ground up with the ongoing support of the broader P&C team and business.

Job Description

Talent acquisition strategy

  • You deeply consider A4’s unique mission, values and culture and create a hiring strategy that aligns with them all.
  • You create a hiring function that enables A4 to scale while staying fair and deeply rooted in accessibility and inclusion.
  • You ensure all hiring practices and decisions align with A4’s hiring philosophy.
  • You determine what the most appropriate measures of success are when it comes to hiring and proactively and regularly share these metrics with the Exec Team.
  • You actively iterate on our hiring practices ensuring we continually evolve to meet the needs of the business and candidates.
  • You facilitate conversations around headcount forecasting and planning and proactively offer recommendations.
  • You partner closely with leadership to understand evolving needs, guiding how hiring can positively strengthen our culture, representation and ability to achieve our mission.

Inclusive hiring practices

  • You design processes that make hiring accessible, identifying and removing unnecessary barriers and ensure accommodations and adjustments are the standard, not exceptions.
  • You develop equitable assessment frameworks that enable fair and consistent decision-making.
  • You facilitate learning and reflection within hiring teams, helping every interviewer understand their role in creating a bias-aware and inclusive process.

Candidate experience

  • You create a candidate journey that is transparent, welcoming, and representative of A4’s values with every interaction should empower, inform, and respect.
  • Build relationships with diverse talent communities and networks, especially those underrepresented in tech and social impact spaces.
  • Create feedback loops from candidates and hiring teams to continuously improve our hiring practices

Employer branding

  • You understand what makes someone successful at A4, those who align with our values and possess needed skills to help us grow and use this insight to shape how and where we show up as an employer.
  • You craft compelling, values-driven attraction strategies that clearly communicate the purpose and impact of our work, ensuring we resonate with people who are deeply aligned with our mission.
  • You ensure every touchpoint in the hiring journey reflects and reinforces A4’s mission treating each interaction as an opportunity to share our work and build trust.
  • You shape A4’s employer brand with care and integrity, ensuring it is transparent, inclusive, and grounded in respect for the communities we exist to support.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 8 years of experience in-house in a talent acquisition role.
  • Experience setting up a talent acquisition function from the ground up.
  • Experience working with marginalised communities, specifically sex workers, neurodivergent individuals, and people with disability.
  • A track record of designing, refining, and implementing structured hiring processes that deliver consistent results and a positive candidate experience always with an emphasis on accessibility.
  • You have facilitated training for interviewers and hiring managers, empowering others to assess candidates equitably and objectively.
  • You are skilled at reviewing and optimising candidate journeys, always seeking ways to improve communication, transparency, and inclusivity at every step.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with employees at all levels, particularly in a remote setting.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
